Our installation team spent some very warm days this Summer down at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher, Surrey replacing the deck area with brand new Millboard composite deck boards and glass balustrades.
The first phase of the project was to remove the existing deck and frame which was submerged in water, however, this was done with ease as our team happily donned extra high waders to keep dry.
Millboard deck boards were specified for their anti-slip coating that has excellent non-slip performance plus the boards are non-porous, which results in high resistance to algae growth and weathering. To keep patients, staff and visitors safe, a bespoke glass balustrade with aluminium frames and handrails was installed around the edge of the deck.
Princess Alice Hospice is a local charity dedicated to providing high quality care and support for adults with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
