Grad is an ‘invisible fixing’ clip based system, for the rapid installation of decks and vertical cladding. The product can be supplied as anything from individual clips (for bespoke board sizes) to a complete system of pedestals, rails and boards for covering very large areas quickly and economically.
The unique clip and groove design at the heart of the Grad system means that decks can be installed about 30% faster than competing products. Once installed, a Grad deck will resist 300Kgs of uplift, and yet each board can be easily and quickly removed, without any marking or damage to the face of the material (a common problem with other hidden fixing systems).
The Grad system can be retrofitted onto existing timber joists, installed from scratch on top of a new timber sub-frame, or mounted onto the bespoke rail system – where finished build-ups as low as 50mm are possible.
The Grad concept offers a choice of ‘clip ready’ timber or composite boards as part of the system – or we can machine most hardwoods to take advantage of the unique rapid fixing advantages this product offers.

Grad rails are available in four heights and are manufactured with the board securing clips already precision fitted.
Pedestals are positioned under each rail.
Grad boards are milled with unique grooves underneath and are convex to speed water run-off and prevent cupping.
Rails arrive with all the clips precision fitted. Just a firm hand pressure will then instantly lock the boards down.
The precision rails and invisible fixing clips create quick, accurate decks with no clips or screws visible from above.

ThermoWood® is produced by heat treating Finnish grown pine and spruce to temperatures in excess of 200 degrees centigrade. During the heat treatment, chemical and structural changes occur within the timber which alter and improve some of its basic characteristics. The resulting product is an altogether more durable and stable timber, an ideal decking and cladding material for use in exposed areas such as external floors and walls.
The colour of ThermoWood-D (pine) is affected by the treatment temperature and time. The higher the temperature the darker the appearance.
There are seven standard ThermoWood-D pine cladding profiles to choose from as well as a range of special order ThermoWood® pine and spruce profiles.
